Following the success of the first webinar last month, jointed hosted by Astute’s Sales & Marketing Director, Mark Shanley, and the MoD, the Anti-Counterfeiting Forum will be hosting a second webinar to look at the current threats and trends. This will take place on Thursday 25th March starting at 2.00pm and tickets are available here.
The webinar will include a presentation from the UK government’s Intellectual Property Office, providing an overview of their work in enforcing IP rights through investigation and prosecution. The presentation will also provide an update on the development of an information reporting and sharing system, provisionally to be piloted in the automotive sector, which follows the IPO consultation workshop at our last physical seminar.
“At our webinar last month, many delegates highlighted the difficulties they are facing with very long product lead times, which may lead to a greater prevalence of counterfeits in the supply chain. One of the consequences of that may be an increased demand to ensure that components sourced from unfamiliar suppliers are genuine,” said an ACF spokesperson.
