Having spent 30 years in the electronics demand creation sector, I fully appreciate application needs, particularly focusing on new and emerging technologies. My key responsibilities with the tech team are to ensure the clear direction of new technologies into customer applications and road map products, thus ensuring both technologies and customer design needs are developed with market-leading design support and direction.

Colm has more than 30 years’ experience within the Electronics components distribution industry and is a charismatic senior leader with a wealth of international experience across sales, supply chain management, marketing and procurement. He leads our Global team as they deliver the development and implementation of Intelligent Digital Supply Chain strategies.

His division is responsible for the Astute Intelligent Marketplace, incorporating Excess Inventory Management, which uses recently developed machine learning tools to help companies reduce their surplus, obsolete and redundant materials.

Colm has held executive leadership roles in Europe, Asia and the US over the course of his career and is a well-rounded industry expert.

With nearly three decades at the forefront of Astute, Freddie Roe, Director – Aerospace & Defence, has been pivotal in shaping not only the delivery of 3PL but the company as a whole. Freddie has pioneered Astute’s consultative approach to delivering major contracts involving complex, value-driven supply chain solutions.

Highly experienced in supporting the A&D business, he challenges himself and his teams to think, act, and be different – gaining the trust, confidence, and endorsements of some of the world’s most prestigious defence primes.

I have progressed my career within Astute over the past 14 years joining the company back in 2010. My key responsibilities are to ensure our customers receive their products on time, right first time along with ensuring a smooth and safe environment of our onsite Laboratory.

I’m always looking ahead for new technologies that will benefit my department’s personnel, customer demands and response times for our customers’ orders.
