Power supplies returning to ‘normal lead times’

Purchasing AC-DC converters and DC-DC modules “should not be a problem for buyers” as production of power supplies has resumed, says Electronics Sourcing.

While phrases like “normal lead times, ample availability and falling prices” are not commonly heard these days in the electronics market, this article refers to comments made by Mohan Mankikar, of Micro-Tech Consultants, who points out that most Chinese power supply manufacturing is in Shanghai and Shenzhen, i.e. “pretty far away from Wuhan”.

Minikikar says about 60-70 per cent of all power supplies are made in China, and power supply production resumed and was ramping up as of April.
