SEMI is making every effort to hold the semiconductor exhibition, SEMICON China, in June 2020, says SEMI China President, Lung Chu, according to SEMI.org news story.

Chu, who is described as a “semiconductor industry veteran who has experienced numerous economic and industry upheavals over his career including the SARS shock in 2003”, emphasized that the strong support of SEMICON China 2020 exhibitors and the Chinese government made rescheduling the event to June possible. The show, now scheduled for June 27-29, 2020, was previously postponed from March.

Posted on the SEMI website is the statement, “We are strongly encouraged by the declining number of new cases of COVID-19 and the improving containment within China and therefore expect a safe and successful event at the end of June.”
