Vishay reveals impact of pandemic on factories

vishay logo wiki

Vishay Intertechnology Inc. has revealed a list of production facilities that “continue to experience some level of significant product disruption” as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The U.S. manufacturer of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components reports that factories in the Philippines, France and Dominican Republic are showing “improvements” or “slight improvements” from March 26, while factories in India, Italy and Malaysia have remained unchanged. Vishay has now added its Mexican factory to the list, which was previously unreported.

Vishay hints that orders from these locations will be impacted. Beyond these countries, Vishay says that all other facilities worldwide “remain fully operational”.
