While many of their legacy designs are still in use today, over the years they’ve expanded their lines to include one of the widest ranges of interconnect solutions in the world. EDAC offers a wide range of products including its Magnetic and modular RJ45 Jacks, Card Edge, Rack and Panel, USB, Firewire, D-Sub and Waterproof connectors.

EDAC also has the ability to deliver custom connectors ranging from minor product variations to full custom solutions from concept to finished goods in less than 12 weeks and prototypes usually under 4 weeks.

Using cardEDGE+ connectors allows customers to have additional design options and more opportunity to tailor interconnect requirements to their actual needs.

EDAC Rack and panel plug and receptacle connectors are available in 14, 20, 36, 38, 56, 90 and 120 pin sizes. The Edacon hermaphroditic contacts, with four contact mating surfaces, have 10 micro inches of gold plating. Terminations include crimp, PC Tail, wire hole, and wire wrap.

EDAC has a wide range of dsub connectors in multiple sizes. The sizes include 9, 15, 25, 26, 37, 44, 50, 62, and 78 positions within standard, machined, combo, and waterproof offerings.

EDAC’s stamped contacts provide 3 amps while their machined pins provide up to 5 amps. Power combo versions with power pins provide up to 40 amps in combination with the data pins.

Waterproof d-sub connectors are also available with epoxy sealed contacts at the rear, and an o-ring seal to the panel. EDAC’s molding process to seal the db connector fills every void with epoxy to provide no air bubbles and no wicking of epoxy up the contacts.
