Rising NAND flash prices set to fall in 2H22

server room

Enterprise buyers that have seen prices for NAND flash and solid-state drives rise this year could find the trend taking a downward turn in the second half of 2022.

Industry analysts predict the shortages that caused NAND prices to increase this year should start to subside in 2022 and result in falling prices as the year progresses by up to 20%, as inventories of SSDs accumulate throughout the PC supply chain.

Industry insiders say that if market prices continue to fall, NAND flash memory suppliers may seriously consider cutting production of NAND flash memory in the fourth quarter to rebalance market forces.
