The spot price of memory chips has fallen by as much as 10%, reports SemiMedia, and contract prices are expected to fall sharply in the third quarter as DRAM spot prices continue to decline.

It is expected that as the shortage of DRAM eases in the fourth quarter, the demand may grow slowly; the oversupply of NAND Flash is not expected to ease before the end of the year. The source pointed out that the inventory of chip manufacturers and module suppliers is about 10-12 weeks, and the inventory of end customers is not much.
