“We’re seeing a lot of automakers say they’re not sure about supply until the second half of 2023,” says Flavio Volpe, President of the Canadian Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association, in an interview with Financial Post’s Larysa Harapyn about how chip shortages will squeeze the auto industry into late 2023.
“I don’t see us being at the level we need to be at until the second half of next year,” said Volpe, adding that manufacturers are having to prioritize some vehicles over others.
