Supply chain shortages and disruptions overtakes hiring as the top issue

supply chain

The 2022 MHI Annual Report, a survey of supply chain leaders and specialists, found that supply chain shortages and disruptions overtook hiring as the top issue for companies today for the first time in the survey’s eight-year history, reports Industry Week.

The report, produced in collaboration with Deloitte Consulting, also found that two-thirds of respondents expect their companies to spend more than $1 million on supply chain technologies over the next two years. Some of the more popular technologies among survey respondents were cloud computing, sensors and automatic identification, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and the industrial internet of things.

To avoid electronics supply-chain disruptions, you may also wish to consult an expert in electronics component supply. With more than three decades of supply-chain expertise, Astute Electronics is ideally placed to work with you on your daily component requirements.
