It’s been a rough Q1 for SEMI – the global industry association representing the electronics manufacturing supply chain – and Q2 doesn’t hold promise. Their SEMICON Korea was the first major electronics tradeshow casualty of 2020. Now they’ve announced SEMICON Southeast Asia 2020 is postponed to Q3: 11-13 August 2020.
Bee Bee Ng, president of SEMI Southeast Asia, posted: “After close consultation with our stakeholders, which include partners, exhibitors, industry peers and the general community, we have made the necessary decision to postpone SEMICON Southeast Asia 2020.
“We want to ensure that SEMICON Southeast Asia 2020 achieves its primary objective of forming connections and collaborations for exhibitors and visitors, both regionally and globally. It remains our mission and commitment to make the show highly successful and impactful.”
There are two big SEMI expositions which could be affected by the pandemic: SEMICON China 2020 on Jun 27, 2020 – Jun 29, 2020, and SEMICON West 2020 – Jul 21, 2020 – Jul 23, 2020, San Francisco, California, United States
