Astute named Meggitt’s Supplier of The Year 2017

The team at Astute was awarded Meggitt’s highest accolade – Supplier of the Year Award 2017 – at their EU/UK Conference earlier this month.

Astute has supplied multiple services to Meggitt for many years, supporting a wide range of projects including their air-braking systems for both civil and military aircraft.

“We are immensely proud to accept this honour and appreciate the recognition from Meggitt,” says Geoff Hill, founder and Managing Director of Astute. “Every one of the Astute team has contributed to this success; it’s truly a reflection of their hard work and dedication.

“This award is the culmination of many years engagement with Meggitt on a global level across multiple sites and activities. It’s been a great pleasure to provide support with front-end design, logistics and & supply-chain services, obsolescence management and through-life support. We have the highest respect for their people.”

Ash Hall, Meggitt Head of Procurement, said: “Congratulations to Astute for winning the Supplier of The Year Award at our EU/UK supplier conference last week. Geoff’s presentation couldn’t have been better – a positive message and example of what we can achieve through partnership. We truly appreciate your work for Meggitt.”

Astute won the award chiefly based upon their OTIF (On Time In Full) logistics performance, which indicates how many deliveries are supplied on time without any articles missing, their QA (Quality Assurance) performance, as well as other activities that demonstrated Astute’s commitment and flexibility above all others.
